LeTourneau's early days as a pioneer earthmover in California, continues through the challenging  earthmoving days of The LeTourneau Construction Company in the late 1920s and follows the Company's expansion to become the manufacturing colossus of R.G. LeTourneau, Inc. eventually employing some 5000 people in four factories in the USA and one in Australia. R G LeTourneau is now considered to be the dean of modern   earthmoving equipment.
The LeTourneau Legend includes 314 accompanying photographs and illustrations, some being shown in print for the very first time along with production records, equipment patents and specifications. Also included are historical accounts of the involvement of key personnel who worked for the LeTourneau Company.
